Martial Arts training

As part of our Health and Feel Safe week we were lucky enough to have some martial arts training.

We played some games where we had to try and 'get' each other.

Learnt how to avoid being 'got' by our partner.

Learning defence moves.

It was a great afternoon - thanks to our instructors.

Food from around the world

We all had to work in teams to make a dish from a different country.

We made food from Mexico, Greece, India, France, Denmark, United Kingdon and Indonesia.

The Greece team made 'takos' which had special greek cheese called 'feta'.

We made crepes from France which had jam inside! Yummy!

We had to make posters and flags to decorate our tables - we worked hard all morning!

We invited parents to come and taste the different food from all the different countries - some of them even wanted the recipies!

Trip to Perry Wood

It was Squirrels turn to go to Perry Wood this week. The children were wonderful at following Mrs Long's instructions and we all managed to find the way - they were very good at spotting the 'bossy' words in the instructions - we have been learning about instructions in literacy.

The children were measuring trees using themselves and bendy sticks and trying to estimate how tall some of the trees were - very difficult!

Aston, James and Sian found a jigsaw puzzle and worked together to see if they could find all the

pieces. Everyone worked together to roll the huge log we found - Mrs Guest had to help too!
